Final Script AI

1. Information We Collect

Final Script AI accesses the following data solely to provide app functionality:

• Your Screenplays & Projects — All screenplay files, beat boards, character bibles, and outlines are stored locally in your device's Documents directory. They never leave your device unless you explicitly export them.
• Anthropic API Key (Optional) — If you choose to connect your own Anthropic API key for AI features, it is stored exclusively in the iOS Keychain (encrypted, device-scoped, excluded from iCloud backups). It is never written to UserDefaults, never logged, and never transmitted anywhere except directly to api.anthropic.com for your AI requests.
• App Settings & Preferences — Your theme, creativity level, editor preferences, and other settings are stored locally on your device via UserDefaults.

No other data is collected. We do not access contacts, location, browsing history, health data, or any other personal information.

2. How We Use Your Data

All data accessed by Final Script AI is used exclusively to provide the app's core functionality — screenwriting and AI-assisted writing tools. Specifically:

• Screenplay content is processed entirely on your device for formatting, pagination, and export.
• When you use AI features (Continue Scene, Punch Up Dialogue, Coverage Notes, etc.), selected text is sent directly to Anthropic's API using your own API key. The request goes from your device to Anthropic and back — it does not pass through any server we control.
• Your settings and preferences are saved locally to preserve your customization choices.
• Exports (Fountain, Final Draft .fdx, PDF) are generated on-device and saved to your Files or shared via the share sheet.

3. No Third-Party Analytics

Final Script AI does not include any third-party analytics SDKs, tracking frameworks, or advertising networks. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, Facebook SDK, or any equivalent tool. There is no telemetry, no usage tracking, and no crash reporting data sent to third parties.

4. No Advertising

Final Script AI contains no advertisements and does not include any ad SDKs or frameworks.

5. No Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose any user data to any third party for any purpose. Your screenplays, API keys, and settings remain entirely under your control on your device.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Since Final Script AI does not collect or store any data on external servers, all data remains on your device:

• To delete your screenplays: Delete them within the app or remove the app's Documents via the Files app.
• To remove your API key: Go to Settings → AI → Delete Key, or delete the app entirely.
• To reset app preferences: Delete the app from your device, which removes all locally stored settings.

7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to:

• Know what personal information is collected — We collect no personal information beyond what you provide locally within the app.
• Delete personal information — All data is stored locally on your device; deleting the app removes all app data.
• Opt out of the sale of personal information — We do not sell any personal information.
• Non-discrimination — We do not discriminate against consumers who exercise their privacy rights.

Because Final Script AI does not collect, transmit, or store data on any server, these rights are inherently satisfied.

8. Children's Privacy

Final Script AI is rated 4+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The app does not include any features that would collect, transmit, or share data from children.

9. Security

All screenplay data is stored in your device's app sandbox, protected by iOS's built-in encryption. API keys are stored in the Keychain with device-only access. No data is transmitted over unencrypted channels. We recommend using your device's built-in security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID) to protect your data.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
